A few years ago, I made a one off custom kite bag to hold a custom kite I had recently gotten. Go big or go home I say, and it came out ok. Resplendent in Blue Velvet with Faux Snow Leopard, I had intended to make a few but, life frequently gets in the way of such projects. However, I did promise one to a friend, so when I came across the material again recently on a clean up/purge, I decided to do his up. And a few more as well, while I was at it. People who know me know my skills with sewing machines are somewhat limited and the first try at this on Sunday ended up with nothing useable and nearly a sewing machine lobbed out the window. I called in for backup on Monday and Lam Hoac popped over and sorted me out. By the time I was done, 6 bags later, they looked great and they are now available for sale on the Kite Stuff I Made page
